Our History
Agreto's roots are deeply tied to the evolution of agricultural software and electronics in Austria. From humble beginnings in 1992 as KW-Agrarcomputer, founded by Walter Neuper, we have grown into a leader in the industry, shaping innovation and redefining standards.
- 1992: Walter Neuper founded KW-Agrarcomputer in Salzburg, focusing on agricultural software
- 1995: Walter Neuper ventures abroad and founds AGRÀRIN Kft. in Hungary. The aim of this company is to develop, distribute and maintain agricultural software for large Hungarian businesses.
- 1998: The company KW-Agrarcomputer is transformed into AGRIS GmbH. The expansion of the nationwide sales network in Austria was completed. At this time, more than 20 sales representatives are on the road for AGRIS in Austria.
- 1999: AGRIS GmbH takes over the accounting and field index software products of the company Roßnagl from Pommersdorf, making AGRIS the company with the most comprehensive range of agricultural software in Austria. The office in Pommersdorf operates as a branch office.
- 2000: AGRIS GmbH takes over the company AGROTRONIK from Wartberg and its employees. This company had 7 years of experience in the field of measuring and weighing in agriculture. With this takeover, the product areas of scales and moisture meters are added to the range. The additional location in Wartberg is used for warehousing and office operations.
- 2002: Start of in-house development of agricultural instruments.
- 2003: AGRIS GmbH moves its headquarters from Salzburg to Wartberg.
- 2004: Registration of the AGRETO brand at the European Patent Office. AGRETO is the brand name for all AGRIS GmbH's in-house developed products. Presentation of the first AGRETO drive-over scale - a completely new concept for vehicle weighing in agriculture.
- 2006: Presentation of the first PC-software for the drive-over scale. Further AGRETO weighing technology offers weighing feet, weighing beams, platform scales and other special agricultural scales.
- 2010: The AGRETO three-point scale is brought onto the market. Our company site in Wartberg becomes too small. We significantly expand our site in Pommersdorf and relocate the entire company there.
- 2011: The first product videos are filmed and are available on the newly opened YouTube channel.
- 2013: AGRETO electronics GmbH was established, specializing in developing and manufacturing the successfull AGRETO product range. AGRIS GmbH concentrates on the distribution of agricultural equipment in German-speaking countries.
- Today: AGRETO is a global supplier of advanced measurement tools, constantly innovating to meet the demands of modern agriculture.

At our location in Mogersdorf, we have a small office, electronics workshop, our own warehouse and a fabrication shop. This setup allows us to ensure the highest standards in product development, assembly, and quality control.
